Your Gathering Space South River Highlands Country Retreat & Heartstone Lodge & Retreat Center are ideally situated to host mid-sized groups of up to a maximum of 150 people for workshops, retreats, meetings & events. Our gathering and teaching space is the 6000 sq ft converted dairy barn at Heartstone Retreat Center here on the same 250 acres. Ample space for participants is found on either or both of two large meeting areas. This facility has a commercial kitchen perfect for catering, a large stone fireplace, a 65 ft pergola ideal for outdoor entertainment with BBQ grill and a chiminea for cool nights. There are also a variety of exterior & interior spaces for buzz groups. Available for day use or with on-site accommodations for longer stays. 	A More Intimate Space For smaller groups, workshops, retreats and meetings, our gathering and teaching space is the Great Room at Stonecutter's. Ample space for 8-10 participants, twenty to twenty five can be comfortably seated before the fireplace for presentations. A family style kitchen and dining area can seat 8 or offer buffet service for 20.
Outside the Box Even a weekend away can renew our spirits and deepen our joy in life. In this environment, outside the box, an individual, a business or shared interest group can rethink, restructure, rediscover their direction. In a few days away from life as usual, creativity flourishes. Everyone, as well as each organization, needs to tap this source of change and growth regularly to survive in our rapidly changing world. 	Our Mission South River Highlands Retreat was created to offer a tranquil setting to better connect with the country life's simpler ways. We support the creative human potential in all ways from arts and natural history to business and spiritual learning.
